Physical Efficiency And Physical Measurement Test For RPF Constable Male Candidate
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is an important component of the RPF Constable recruitment process. The PET is conducted to evaluate the physical fitness of the candidates and ensure that they are capable of performing the duties of an RPF Constable.
The PET for RPF Constable includes the following activities:
1600 meters (1 mile) race: The candidate has to complete the race within 5 minutes 45 seconds.
Long Jump: The candidate has to clear a minimum distance of 14 feet in 3 chances.
High Jump: The candidate has to clear a minimum height of 3 feet and 9 inches in 3 chances.
Candidates who qualify in the PET are eligible to appear for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), which includes measuring the height and chest of the candidate. The minimum height required for male candidates is 165 cm for General Category, 160 cm for SC/ST Category And 163 cm for Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese and other categories specified by the Government.
